Ano Poli & the Byzantine walls
The old upper town: cobbled lanes, Ottoman houses and the best sunset view over the city.
Walk up along the walls to the Heptapyrgion fortress, then come down through the lanes to a taverna. At sunset the whole gulf turns gold, and you can spot Peraia across the water.
